Bob Lane’s passion for excellence and inspiring others compelled him to pursue a career working with global companies to drive fundamental change and transform operations. As a hands-on consultant and executive coach, Bob seamlessly blends Lean/Six Sigma principles, product development optimization, strategic business initiatives, and participative management philosophies to grow organizations and develop high-performing, motivated teams.
Bob has been the architect and leader for the turnaround of manufacturing, software, and consumer products companies. His successful application of high-performance organizational structures has benefited Private Equity, Venture Capital, and Fortune 500 companies.
Bob’s devotion to education and advancing his community inspires him to use his vast knowledge and experiences to foster tomorrow’s industry leaders. He mentors students at several universities, is highly sought after for his Keynote Speeches on Turnaround Management and Operational Excellence, and serves on the advisory boards of National University and two technology firms. In addition, Bob previously served as the president of the American Production and Inventory Control Society’s (APICS) San Diego chapter.
His qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from California Polytechnic State University and a professional certificate in Construction and Architectural Engineering from the University of California at San Diego. He also completed advanced Japanese Manufacturing Education and Lean training with Sony and Shingo Lean Six Sigma training with Textron.
