BUDGETING & FORECASTING SERVICES
Manage capital and maximize outcomes with detailed planning
Annual budgeting
Our budget generation process begins by meeting with management to gain an understanding of their realistic and aspirational goals for the next 12 months. We combine this knowledge with our analysis of variables and key inputs to create an annual budget that assesses potential risks within the coming year, takes into consideration cash balance needs for capital allocation decision-making, and considers company and shareholder incomes alongside annual pay increases and incentive plans for employees.
Multi-year forecasts
As with our annual budget creation process, we meet with functional leaders prior to generating multi-year and rolling forecasts in order to fully understand your business goals and challenges. We then develop a 36-month budget forecast that takes into consideration your operation’s various (and unique) risks and inputs. We also lean on our knowledge and experience to include scenarios that leaders may not have contemplated, including acquisitions, joint ventures, or other transactions. The result is a multi-year forecast– written for multiple audiences– that can be utilized for internal planning, external fundraising, and board visibility.
Rolling forecasts
We rely upon the metrics and trending of recent actuals in order to predict your business financial status for the next 12 months. To do so, we take into consideration factors such as patterns in the sales pipeline––including conversion rates and times––that will quantifiably predict sales and growth. The results are dependable forecasts that serve as the basis for qualitative decision-making.
Resource and capital allocation
Making the most efficient use of your company’s precious capital is our number one goal. We therefore invest our time in client discussions that enhance our understanding and allow us to make the best recommendations, then strategically analyze historical and expected trends (KPI’s) and present options not necessarily contemplated (for example, the cost of outsourcing or insourcing). Lastly, we never take anything for granted: we are always searching for alternative financing options in consideration of your ROI.
Incentive plans
In this fast-paced global economy, compensation plans quickly become stale. Companies struggle with losing talent to competitors with more appealing incentivization, or losing profits through subpar or antiquated reward systems. We dedicate ourselves to taking the burden off of current administration by creating sales compensation and other incentive plans that offer the right balance of maximized outcomes for employees and the company.
