Cameron Gikas
LaneOPX Intern
With an educational foundation in both Industrial Engineering and technical writing from her education at California Polytechnic State University, LaneOPX intern Cameron Gikas assists with manufacturing process improvements and with developing training materials at LaneOPX.
Cameron’s background includes industrial and manufacturing engineering projects regarding operations research, financial decision-making, and process optimization. She has also developed technical papers, including her research on the microstructure and applications of cellulose nanofiber, a case study and financial proposal for a Coastal Petroleum Company, and her paper, “The Effect of Manufacturing Process on Fabric Dyes.”
As a member of California Polytechnic Universities’ Systems Optimization Club, Cameron hones her process improvement skills by working on projects that help companies improve industry processes and increase efficiency. In addition, Cameron has interned at the headquarters of Bank of the Internet, where she learned about the inner workings of a branchless online banking platform, analyzed sensitivities regarding risk, and conducted activities related to finance and marketing.
Cameron will receive her Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering in the winter of 2024 from California Polytechnic State University. She plans to pursue an MBA.
