Senior Business Systems Specialist Gavin Swigart provides LaneOPX clients with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and advanced planning and scheduling (APS) implementation support, training, and management consulting. He blends his knowledge and background in industrial engineering and operations research to provide clients with the most effective and customized systems.

Gavin’s experience spans a multitude of industries including life sciences, medical devices, power generation, alternative fuel, aerospace, machine shops, industrial products, and food processing. With each client, he provides the most comprehensive solutions for business and systems-related issues such as production planning and control, inventory management, supply chain management, reporting, and training. Paired with his technical skills, Gavin’s unique ability to maintain, manage, and execute several projects and their respective goals simultaneously is rivaled by very few in the industry. He is passionate about identifying barriers, finding better methods, and engaging students to reach higher levels of performance.

Gavin is a certified instructor in the APICS Instructor Development Program and holds all possible APICS certifications: Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Logistics, Transportation, and Distribution (CLTD), and Supply Chain Operations Reference Professional (SCOR-P), and Principles. He was named APICS Instructor of the Year (2013-2014) and APICS Board Member of the Year (2012-2013).

Gavin graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Master’s Degree in Operations Research from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
